Missions - All

Jubilee Center-3 times a year FUMC prepares and serves a meal at the Rockford Rescue Mission. Dates for 2012 are March 10, June 16 and November 3. Food and monetary donations are needed. To volunteer your time contact the church office.

Mitten Tree- Throughout the winter months hats, gloves and mittens are collected for Belvidere School children. We have made donations to 5 area schools. A basket is in the Connection Corner for your donations.

Food Pantry Collection- On the first Sunday of the month nonperishable food items and toiletries are collected. Items are donated to the Salvation Army and the Belvidere Boone County Food panty.

Meal's on Wheels-Meals on Wheels is a volunteer driven program, that delivers meals to the home bound or recovering folks in our community.  The people who receive the meals, due to illness or age find it difficult to prepare meals for themselves. We here at First United Methodist Church, partner with the Boone County Council on Aging/The Keen Age Center, twice a year to deliver meals for one week. We participate in May and in November. There are two routes that need to be covered Monday-Friday of our week and ten teams of two are needed to provide this service to others.
