Worship Services
Worship is important at First United Methodist Church. In fact, Worship is the most important thing that we share together.
Sunday morning Worship Services are held at 8:15 and 10:45 am. Both services offer contemporary and traditional music and styles. Our Worship embraces United Methodist liturgy and tradition. Special Worship is offered on Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve and during Holy Week.
Our Chancel Choir presents an Advent Cantata and an Easter Cantata each year. Our Choir rehearses on Thursday Evenings at 7 pm.
The Sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of each month. As United Methodists our Communion Table is open to all who need to know God’s Love as experienced in the sharing of the Bread and the Cup.
The Sacrament of Baptism is available. Please speak with one of the pastors for further information.
Nursery Care is available during both services for
children birth thru five years.

Music Ministry
Our Chancel Choir, directed by Lyn Wales, provides music for our worship services from September through May. All are welcome to practice with them on Thursday evenings and to participate with them. The Chancel Choir alternates their musical witness weekly between the 8:15 and 10:45 services. A bond is created within the choir as they become part of the worship leaders in music and enable the worshippers to lift their hearts and voices in song. The bonds of friendship within the choir remain open to all who would join them.
Our Praise Team who sings at the 8:15 service is on a rotation schedule. A small group of three to five praise team members lead the singing each week. Again, all are welcome to become part of the praise team.
In addition to the Chancel Choir and Praise Team, we offer several ensembles, singing occasionally in worship: the Lighthouse Quartet, a men's ensemble, and a women's ensemble. Often our musical witness for the day includes a solo or duet or instrumental offerings by people of all ages. If you are interested in becoming part of the music ministry here, contact the church office, Cindy Poulter, or Lyn Wales.
